As one of the largest textile processing units in Pakistan, Liberty Textile Mills Karachi has a production capacity of 500,000 square meters of fabrics today and exports to international markets and world-wide recognized brands. Enhancing quality and quantity of production has been the goal the management persistently strives for. To any labor-intensive industry, an efficient staff management would be the key to success.

OVERVIEW:

ZKAccess video surveillance and access control technology is being used all over the world to protect people and property. Now, thanks to the innovation of Ohio-based integrator Casey Smeller, it has been successfully deployed to safeguard livestock, as well.

A long-time integrator and specifier of physical security solutions, Casey was recently called upon to, interestingly enough, provide access control and monitoring for a client’s chicken coops. Casey assessed that without proper security automation and monitoring, his client’s chickens would remain in peril. If trapped inside the coops at the wrong time, the chickens could potentially be exposed to dehydration and heat exhaustion. If trapped outside the coops at the wrong time, the chickens could be exposed to extreme temperatures, dangerous predators and/or poachers.

CHALLENGES:

As an interim solution, Casey initially installed motorized chicken coop doors and controlled the doors with a mechanical timer so they would open and close at preset times. But using a “timer” with pre-sets inherently added more unwanted problems. For instance, intermittent/uncontrollable power outages triggered the chicken coop doors to open/close at dangerous times. As such, the doors needed to be monitored visually all the time. To overcome power outages, Casey then installed a UPS to ensure constant power. But, the use of a timer didn’t address the concerns over severe temperature changes and predators/poachers.

Established in August 1955, Qingdao Southern District Court is the political, economic, cultural and foreign communication center of Qingdao. Qingdao Southern District Court has set up diversified departments such as criminal, juvenile, civil, administrative and governance bureau. The number of annual judged and executed cases is around 10,000. In order to effectively carry out future work, the all-in-one card system is required to manage daily affairs and some insecurity factors, and provide convenient services for enterprises. The system needs to facilitate the work development in an orderly fashion, from dining, to access control management, and to visitor management, effectively minimizing the management work difficulties.

The ZKBioSecurity is adopted, which integrates five management modules, time attendance, access control, visitor management, elevator control, and video. The time attendance, access control, visitor, and elevator control modules read physical card numbers of identity cards.

It comprises numerous affiliated businesses, most of them are united under the Samsung brand, and is the largest South Korean business conglomerate. Samsung’s notable industrial affiliates include Samsung Electronics (the world’s second largest information technology company and fifth in market value, Samsung Heavy Industries (the world’s second largest shipbuilder) and Samsung Engineering and Samsung C&T (respectively the world’s 13th and 36th largest construction companies). Other notable subsidiaries include Samsung Life Insurance (the world’s 14th largest life insurance company), Samsung Everland (operator Everland Resort, the oldest theme park in South Korea) and Cheil Worldwide (the world’s 15thg largest advertising agency).

The involved composite project is the largest smart phone manufacturing plant in Vietnam, which is operated by Samsung Electronics Company Limited officially since 28th October 2009. It is also the second largest smart phone manufacturing plant of Samsung in the world, with a total sum of investment of approximately $7,000,000.

JCG is one of the largest construction companies in the southern US.  The majority of JCG’s employees report daily to their clients’ numerous construction sites throughout the Gulf States and surrounding areas.  Many of JCG’s construction sites present two common challenges: first, safety and security of employees, visitors, equipment, and client property and second, ensuring that labor hours are accurate and submitted in a timely manner. Ensuring accurate time keeping is an issue that all construction companies face and an important part of controlling costs on a construction project.

Necessity:

Due to the nature of their work, many employees are using corrosive materials that deteriorate the fingerprint. They are having problems when doing the check in/out as a result of bad fingers.
